Cleaning House

It's time for a giveaway!! And not just one!!!

Most folks have a big hulla-ballo on their 100 post and I, like a dummy, forgot....e-gads.....then too, it's almost time for the next Scrappy Pincushion Swap, and believe it or not, I am besieged with too many pincushions that I thought would/might be needed as angel pincushions. So.....it's time to clean house!!!! AND.....who knows, I just might continue this marathon once the doll swap is over depending on how many angel quilts are needed. But for now, and to celebrate my 104 th post, I made twin doll quilts today.......(well almost twins, 'cause nothing is exact, you know) so someone will win this (or it's twin which I'm still working on):

Pretty Pinwheels

Then......choose your pincushion cause all of these will go:

Real Scrappy Pincushions

Citrus Pincushion

Scrappy Twins

Striped Pincushions

Hugs and Kisses Pincushions

Carnival Pincushions

Just so you know that there is only 1 of the Real Scrappy, Hugs and Kisses, and Carnival pincushions left and all but the Carnival has 100 cotton stuffing rather than the bird litter. So....in order to get one of these gems, all you have to do is tell me which you like best and why and make sure I have your e-mail address so that I can contact you if you win. I'm thinking that this should go until maybe mid next week and I'll let my hubby and son decide the winners. Good luck!!!

That quilt and those pincushions are the CUTEST! Congrats on your 104th post :)

Oh, I think all the thinks you made are WONDERFUL!...I think I would like the one with cotton stuffing or the quilt! My son is allergic to nuts so I avoid pincushions with those in them...not sure about the bird stuff? Thanks for the chance!

I can't believe this giveaway! I've been admiring these pincushions since the scrappy swap began! I'd love to give any of them a home but I truly love the lime green with the cross stitching on the edges and the black and white and bright colored flower on top! It's just too fabulous! And you're giving away the twin quilt too? The pinwheels remind me of my grandsons! too fun! Thanks for a great giveaway! I admire your work!

Those are great! I love everything. Do you hand cross stich or use the machine? I love the flowers and my favorite is the blue and purple stripe.

Confreakingratulations on your 104!! Oh and BTW...you are one of my quilty heros...I learn so much from you and it's nice to know you are there if I have a question!:)

Hmmmm...which pincushion...I think I would have to say scrappy twin...the one on the left...because it looks like a person...see the eyes and the mouth? Looks like a person laying on their tummy!;)

I love following your post on the pinny swap. You all have given me ideas and laughter. Smiling is a good thing.
The purple, blue and green pinny is so my colors. My mystery quilt is in those colors

Mandy Noble said...

Ooh ooh ooh, me me me!!! I love them all and have been drooling over them since you first posted the piccies. (in a nice way of course, the drooling that is) if I had to choose it would be one of the purple and green ones, I love the purple spotty flower! I think I would try to find a way of wearing it, but then people might stop and point at the mad quilting lady so maybe not-but it would look so lovely sitting next to my sewing machine.

I'd have to pick the rainbow-y one in the first pic with the pins in it. It'd be the hardest to loose amongst the other fabric bits in my sewing space!

You are an inspiration to us all, darling!

Brenda said...

they're all great and I would be happy to have any of the pincushions or the little quilt congrats on 104 posts and I hope you hit four figures!

I love all, but the green with flowers in black and white and, pink, red, yellow and orange with dots is awesome because it is so happy and remind me how fun is sewing and it is why i love sewing.
(i hope you understand my english).

I love the lime green with polka dot flowers on the top best but would love any of them. I also really love the quilt! Glad I found your blog.

I love them all, but I think I like the red, white and black ones best. The black X stitching reminds me of The Nightmare Before Christmas, for some reason. I love the color red and that movie, so I love those pincushions! :-)

I'm a sucker for flowers and love the punch that a black & white graphic print can add to a project, so it's the Hugs & Kisses would be my choice.

I adore the pinwheel-flowers on the little quilt, too.

I love the black and white pinnie with the bright flower. As odd as this will sound, it reminds me of the kids TV show "The Big Comfy Couch" (is that still on anymore? My kids are getting beyond that age...) I loved that show, it was whimsical and sweet, just like that pinne.

Congrats on 104 posts (and what, about 104,000 mini quilts?)

Greetings, Carol! I absolutely adore your flower garden quilt, it is so bright and fresh and wonderful! Is it appliqued? I love it.

Hmmm, which pincushion? Well, if I am forced to choose one, it would be one of the B/W and orange yellow ones or the limey green and B/W. They are terrific!! Love them.

thanks and congrats on the over 100 mark.

104 post. I thought it would have been much more. I just looked back through the archives and I found I have 8 of those post starred. Glad I look back, I saw the Christmas tree skirt and I want to make something like that. But all my sewing is being taken up by planning for my first grand-baby.
My favorite pin cushion is the third one shown. Love the fringie flower and the x's.
Thanks for all the hard work your blog takes. I love it!

Congrats, Carol! And I'd love to sign up for a chance to win the doll quilt, I already am the proud owner of one of your pincushions. :) Thank you so much for that, again. I loved each and every one you made, but the mostly I love the one you sent me. Thanks, buddy! You're about to make a bunch of people really happy and you are so generous.

Congratulations, Carol, on such a successful blog!!!! I *heart* it and your amazing creativity! :) And what a wonderful giveaway. (Thanks, guys, for helping her with this!! - I live with a couple of 'good sports', as well!)

You said to choose our favorite. Well, first it was Real Scrappy because of the colors and the great embroidered "X's". Then, it was Citrus, with that wonderful colored flower. But it is Hugs and Kisses, because they have both those wonderful things...and that green...I love that green!! :)

Cynthia said...

I've been following your quilting since you first started and don't think there's been one thing you've made that I haven't fallen in love with. I'm not sure I would be able to pick a favorite!

What a great giveaway.
The new DS quilt is awesome and all the pincushions too, but my favorite ones are the greens with the flower on it :-)

Happyme said...

I would love to have one of the pincushions in the last three pictures. They remind me of vacations that I have taken in the past, the colors are so bright and happy! In my sewing room the window is toward my back as I sew so the pincushion sitting next to me would be "my little ray of sunshine". I love your angel quilts, they are so inspiring! You are doing a fantastic job with the swirl quilting....I think I am going to try it on a pillow that I am making. Thanks for the opportunity to win your "gems"! -Happyme

CASharp said...

All of your pincushions are beautiful; however, I like the scrappy ones the best because they remind me of a party. There are balloons and streamers and good friends gathered to celebrate something wonderful.

Congratulations on your 104th post. I love that you chose 104 instead of 100. It is much more imaginiative, spunky, and unique...just like you.

Jo said...

Oh Carol, As you know I just love your quilts (just look at my favourites) so to be in a draw to get one is a must for me. All of the pin cushions are wonderful and deserve a good home, but you asked that we choose one, and my one would be the red and white as they both remind me of clowns or Andy Pandy .. don't ask why, as Andy Pandy was in blue and white strip, and clowns generally have many bright colours, but that what I think when I look at them, Just toooo cute. By the way congrats on your 104 blog.

Needled Mom said...

What a lovely little quilt!!! Those pincushions are adorable as well. I guess if one was forced to choose, it would have to be the red one.

Congratulations on over 100 posts.

My favorite is the one with the lime green base and cross stitches - but they are all wonderful!!!! Congrats on 100+ posts!!!

Oh you know I love the Red/black/white one best! All of your pinnies are fabulous, but that one is my fav! I know I'm greedy, but it would look sooooo GOOD sitting next to the one you already sent me!! :-) Great blog by the way!

Love the quilt. Would treasure it is I was lucky to win. The pincushions are all wonderful, but if I have to choose, the blue, lavender and green ones are my favorite. Really hope I win. Bonnie in Iowa
