Ladies #37 and #50 plus more mail art

School is out for most places and now I can show you Lady #37, Mrs. Joy.  Mrs. Joy was commissioned by the faculty of an elementary school in Florida as a gift for their art instructor volunteer, Mrs. Joy.  They were going to gift "herself" to her on the final day of classes.

May I present, Mrs. Joy - Lady #37

Lady #47 - Mrs. Joy

And the real Mrs. Joy:

Then, #50 Lady finally arrived home after a long voyage over the "pond".  I'm pleased to present, Marilyn:

Lady #50 - Marilyn from Australia

And here is Marilyn with herself:

Wasn't that nice that she wore a shirt to match her quilt?  I'm thinking she could have at least tied a tape measure in her hair too, don't you think?  lol (I'm just teasing, Marilyn!!)

Then, more mail art arrived for their recipients:

Sweet Kitty and Bird Mail Art

Souffle Gel pens on Black

Are you drowning....mail art

Shiny feet mail art

Bunny Mail Art

Mail art to Annie

So there you have it......my week in a nutshell.  I have been busy creating more envelopes and next time there will be more to show you.  I also have a new lady to create, so I'm not just hanging around here twiddling my thumbs.  I hope you are also enjoying your spring.  Until next week, my friends......

Hey Carol! Greetings from the land of the sizzle...it is 109° here today...that is one hundred and nine. Who in their right mind lives in this heat??? I ask myself that a lot during the summer! Hey...those ladies are grand! I bet Mrs. Joy was thrilled! I have a question on your envelopes...do you have them hand cancelled? I would think a machine would do some damage. What fun for the mail carrier...I bet they hope you two keep this going for some time! Have a good week! Sue.

I was not at all considerate with leaving off the tape measure ribbon, and definitely should have worn the correct earrings shouldnt I. Lovely work, your no 37 looks so good - as all the ladies do.

Marilyn brought her portrait to our Brisbane Stitchers Inc meeting last Sunday and it looks fantastic! Have also seen a couple others at past meetings and they are really cool. xx debbie
